Give Yourself the Gift of Wellness This Holiday

The holidays are a beautiful time for giving — but so often, we pour our energy into everyone else and forget about the one person who needs care the most: ourselves.
This year, let’s shift the focus. Let’s make space for nourishment, movement, and true well-being.
Here are some simple, meaningful ways to gift yourself wellness this season.

1. The Gift of Movement

Movement is one of the most powerful ways to support your physical and mental health. Whether you're rolling out your mat, lifting weights, or joining a community class, committing to regular movement is a gift that keeps giving.

2. The Gift of Self-Care

A little pampering can be deeply restorative — especially during the busyness of the holiday season. Allow yourself to unwind, relax, and feel supported. Here is a list of my favorites.

Favorite Massage Therapists

3. Upgrade Your Beauty Game

Refresh your routine and nourish your skin, hair, and body with products that make you feel good from the inside out.

Skincare Favorites

  • Red Light Therapy is great for aging, reducing blemishes and wrinkles, and pain.  Make sure you are purchasing a high quality product.

  • Credo has the largest selection of clean beauty products, its my favorite resource to find non-toxic skincare and make up.

  • If you like to shop for things in person, Special Effects in Greenport has a great selection of make up and skin care products.

Haircare Favorites

  • Hairstory is a non bull sh**t, non toxic, and clean hair care company, that doesn't mask damage but actually makes your hair healthier.

    • *Fun fact: Before starting New Moon Health & Wellness I worked at Hairstory for almost 10 years as their photographer.  This taught me all about the importance of switching to clean beauty products. I haven't used anything else or had detergent in my shower since 2014.

    • Traditional shampoos and conditioners are bad for your skin, hair, and health. Hairstory makes New Wash the replacement for shampoo and conditioner, no more stripping your hair and exposing yourself to chemicals.

    • They also have amazing products, my favorites are Balm, Oil, and Undressed.

    • Use code NewMoonHealth for discount

  • Hair Towles

    • My hair takes forever to try and this has really helped.  Our hair is also the most susceptible to damage when wet and hair towels are much more gentle on our hair than traditional towels.

4. Build Your Home Gym

A home gym doesn’t have to be elaborate — a few intentional pieces can go a long way.
Weights, resistance bands, a mat, or a virtual membership can create a consistent routine right at home.

Here are my personal favorites:

  • Walking Pad — perfect for cold days when you still want to hit your step goal. This is my favorite because of the size, foldability, handles, app, and the higher speeds.

  • Here are my favorite weights to build your own home gym:

  • Bands are great for limited space and travel, these are the ones I use.

5. Nourish Your Body With Joy

Fall back in love with cooking and fueling your body well. Sometimes a simple kitchen upgrade is enough to spark creativity and inspiration.

Here are a few ideas to elevate your space and routine:

This Year, Choose Yourself

Wellness isn’t just about one habit — it’s about creating a life that feels good, supportive, and aligned.
As you navigate the holidays, remember that you deserve care, joy, rest, and nourishment just as much as anyone else.

Give yourself the gift of wellness this year — you’re worth it.
