Interview with:

Charlene Minnick of Blue Sage Day Spa

When and why did you start your business?

Charlene Minnick bought Blue Sage Day Spa from the previous owner in April 2018.

What's your story?

My name is Charlene Minnick attended BOCES-Cosmetology for two years, graduating in June of 1989.  She then completed Christine Valmy International Skin Care School in October 1989.  She started her esthetic career at Gurney's Inn Spa in Montauk as an esthetician, working there for eight years.  Charlene gained a lot of experience, and while working there, she completed a course in Temple, Texas, at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Paramedical Esthetics.  She opened Charlene Bloss Skin Care, working out of her home while her 3 daughters were growing up.

Later she took a position as an esthetician at East End Plastic Surgery & Laser Center, working for Dr. Judy Emanuele for seven years while also working for Blue Sage Day Spa.  In April of 2018, she took over as owner of Blue Sage Day Spa...a dream come true.

“At Blue Sage Day Spa, our mission is to help create a peaceful atmosphere through touch while focusing on each individual's needs.  Our therapists are committed to excellence and take pride in every spa treatment we offer.  Let us help you enjoy the journey!”

What do you offer?

Blue Sages offers massage, facial, body treatments, infrared sauna, plus a variety of Image & Skin Ceuticals products, along with jewelry, bags, and their own North Fork Scrubs & Candles.
