When and why did you start your business?

I started my business in 2007 because I fell in love with yoga so much that I wanted to share my passion with as many people as possible so they could experience the amazing benefits I was feeling.

What's your story?

I'm originally from France and I moved to NYC in 2000. I have a master's degree in social law and I used to be a journalist. But in 2003, my husband and I travelled for 8 months in South East Asia and during that trip, we stayed in India for a month in an ashram and that's where I discovered yoga: the physical practice but also the spiritual side of the discipline. I literally fell in love and never stopped exploring all the aspects of yoga.

I went back to India to take a 200H teacher training and then I started my journey with Yogaworks in NYC. I took another 200H teacher training with them, then a 300H TT, I passed their certification and became a teacher for them and eventually a trainer for 10 years in New York and in France.

I'm also specialized in back care and scoliosis with Alison West as I have scoliosis myself so I wanted to learn more about my condition and also be able to help others.

I'm certified in restorative yoga with Jillian Pransky, prenatal yoga with Carrie Parker, anatomy with Jason Brown, Yoga Tune Up with Jill Miller and Urban Zen with Rodney and Colleen Saidman Yee.

All these certifications allow me to target my sessions to my student's needs. I work a lot with people who have injuries.

I'm honored to have been recognized for my work and I had the pleasure of writing 5 books for the French market about yoga and specific issues. They are part of a Yoga Therapy collection.

Every summer, I teach yoga on Shelter Island where I always felt the most at home. And this year, we left NYC and moved here so I'm looking forward to developing my offerings in the region more and more.

What do you offer?

I offer private sessions on Shelter Island and in the region as well as online sessions.

I teach every Friday at St Mary's Church on Shelter Island at 9.30am. This class is open to all levels.

I teach regular group classes online every Mon/Wed at 8.30am and every Sat at 11am.

I lead retreats at Seven on Shelter Island during the Fall and Spring and I'm working on creating some international retreats.

I'm a breathwork guide.

My yoga books are available in French on Amazon or at any French library. Each book has a theme: low back pain, painful periods, sleep issues, anxiety and knee pain.

What else do you want people to know?

The past few years, I've been having the immense pleasure of leading breathwork classes and sessions.

I'm a certified breathwork guide. I teach a potent active technique that helps release stress, anxiety and stuck emotions in the body.

It also helps to strengthen our intuition and connection to self.

I guide people in person or online.

I'm excited to offer Healing Breathwork pop up classes at Activated Wellness this summer (check events page for next session).
