When and why did you start your business?

Our wholesale business was started in 1987, but the retail portion opened in 2004. We became USDA Certified Organic in all areas of our business in 2007. We are also non-GMO.

We started our business because we are firm believers that it is best to “grow your own food”. With supermarket prices soaring you and your family can grow your organic food in a garden, raised beds, or containers. The choices are limitless. We want to share our bounty with you!

What's your story?

Over the years, family members have offered on-site retail sales to local residents and those willing to visit. With the increased demand for locally sourced certified organic plants, new family members have decided to make a major expansion to our retail store, now known as Papa’s Organic Plants. We have recently completed our 1,500 sq. ft. of dedicated outdoor space for the display of 300+ varieties of certified organic herb and vegetable plants. Plants are grown on the premises and a fresh supply is practically endless. We offer more than the largest selection of certified organic herb and vegetable plants, but a North Fork experience you will want to tell your friends and family about. A visit here will be worth a trip from anywhere!

What do you offer?

We offer over 300 varieties of certified organic herbs and vegetables, the largest selection on the North Fork! Not only do we carry the most popular, well-known varieties, but we also pride ourselves on finding unique and rare varieties that are sure to get people excited (I know we are!). Just as an example, we offer over 120 varieties of organic herbs, 40 varieties of organic tomatoes, 30 varieties of organic peppers, and 15 varieties of organic strawberries!

What else do you want people to know?

Come visit us and meet Papa himself! If you see his 1948 Chevy pickup parked out front you can be sure he is there. We are a long-time local family with children born and raised on the beautiful North Fork and are excited to meet you all!

We are open for the season April 21-June 21, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 9-4.
